Smooth Operator

Shine Spray 25$

Glossing Cream 25$

It is no secret that I am a product addict and am always looking for the newest miracle product, so with that out of the way welcome to my newest hair obsession. We all know that letting your hair dry naturally is the healthiest option for drying but I know in my personal experience my hair has never really figured out how to do that with out looking like a cave woman so I have to use the assistance of a blow dryer. But with the heat comes the need to product and a system to maintain a healthy sheen and softness. Frederick Fekkai Brilliant glossing system is the answer to that dilemma. I started by using the glossing cream and over the past few weeks have gone "Full GLoss" by purchasing the shampoo, conditioner, and finishing products.
WARNING! this stuff is not cheap but as we all know when it comes to beauty products you typically get what you pay for.

If the full size is too scary of a commitment they carry a on-the-go kit with portable sizes of Fekkai Brilliant Glossing products, infused with encapsulated olive oil that brings out your coif's brilliant potential. This tress-perfecting arsenal comes in a chic travel bag.

This set contains:
- Mini shampoo
- Mini conditioner
- Mini glossing cream
- Mini hairspray
- Mini comb
- Travel bag

Get the Look... Jennifer Williams

Often with foundations you will have to use two colors one in the center of your face "T Zone" and under eye and a darker shade around the edge of the face.
Face Atelier is one of my favorite foundations for olive and dark skin tones. They offer an array of undertones designed to fit your complexion.
Jennifer's line of lip gloss " Lucid " will be available to the public soon! So excited for everyone to love it!

I have had the pleasure for the past few years of glaming up Jennifer Williams, for Basketball Wives on VH1. I received many requests to do a break down of Jenn's Makeup. She is so adventures and constantly plays with different looks so it was hard to pick a particular picture, but I made a short break down of products I use on her often for the show.

Step 1. moisturizer. I use Embryolisse (you can use which ever works best for you) but to keep your face hydrated is very important. Give a spritz of Urban Decay All Nighter before and after foundation. I followed with SmashBox Photofinish Primer

Step 2: Foundation, buffed on with a brush. Face Atelier.

Step 3: M.A.C Blot powder loose in dark.

Step 4: FIll brows with Anastasia brow powder and an angled brush.

Step 5: For this picture I used M.A.C grape Pigment , M.A.C shadows in seedy peal, Stars and Rockets, and Vibrant grape. ( This will be different for every look) FOllowed by Blacktrack gel eye liner on her top and Doir Crayon in her water line, followed by Sephora lashes Flirt and Tease, topped with a coat of Cover Girl Lash blast in Very Noir.

Step 6: M.A.C mineral skin-finish in deep dark in the hollows of her cheeks to give a little warmth, followed by Exhibit A blush by Nars. I often use a highlighter powder on top of her cheek bones Golden Bronze loose powder by M.A.C

Step: Hodgepodge lip liner by M.A.C, HIgh Tea lipstick, topped off with Ultra Shinny gloss by Lucid Cosmetics.

I hope this was informative! If anyone has specific questions about her other looks please feel free to ask me!!

Fade Into You

Ombre hair color has emerged as one of the most popular trends for hair in the past few years. Ombre hair is created by fading natural colors, from Dark to Light in natural sun kissed golden hues. ( Made popular by celeb's like Sarah Jessica Parker and Lilly Aldridge) I have been wanting to do this to my hair and finally gout the courage to DIY Ombre my own head! It worked out great but this process is defiantly ranked high on the difficulty scale, so leave this transformation to the professionals.

Not funky enough for you?? Ombre can also be created with washes of jewel tones faded gradually into one another, there are endless possibilities!

The man responsible for the most famous of these tresses is L.A hair color guru ,Johnny Ramirez (www.boxno216.com)
Check out his blog for endless pictures of hair color makeovers! Not able to get to California? He frequently makes trips to Miami and New York. As a special treat to you Miami residents Master colorist Erica Bellins at Sean Donaldson Hair ( 1647 Meridian ave, (305) 397-8460) a pro at the Ombre look, and often rocks it her self!

A Little Cuban

DIY TIP: Use masking tape to create a half moon shape apply a few coats and remove:)

Being a dark vampy polish girl my self, the overwhelming tropical colors of summer collections can leave me with few options. The Cuban half moon manicure has been my saving grace for summer. Starting with a neutral or even red tone use a black or white polish to create a half moon shape by the cuticle LAQA&Co makes a great polish pen that makes the process much easier....

Have any of you ever worn this look? Let me know how it turns out!
